Eduardo Stupía (Vicente López, 1951) studied at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes “Manuel Belgrano” in Buenos Aires. A painter, draftsman, and graphic designer, his work is characterized by a personal and expressive language that combines lines, stains, textures, and graphic elements. He has received numerous awards and distinctions, including the Gran Premio del Salón Nacional, the Gran Premio del Salón Municipal Manuel Belgrano, the Premio Leonardo al Artista del Año, and the Premio Konex de Platino. His works are included in major public and private collections, such as Malba, the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, the Museo de Arte Moderno, the MoMA in New York, and the Pérez Art Museum in Miami.
Stupía is also a writer, translator, art critic, curator, and educator. He published El libro de las fábulas y otras fabulaciones (2022) in co-authorship with Daniel Samolovich. From 1992 to 2012, he served as art director of Diario de Poesía. In the field of visual design, he participated in various projects at the Centro de Experimentación Teatral of Teatro Colón, the Centro Cultural Kirchner, and the Centro de Arte Contemporáneo of the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero. He is a member of the editorial board of the cultural journal Las Ranas.
