Carolina Antoniadis (Rosario, Santa Fe, 1961) lives and works in Buenos Aires. Her love and passion for art are an inheritance from her grandfather. She graduated from the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes “Prilidiano Pueyrredón,” where she has served as Full Professor of Painting since 1985. She is also Associate Professor in the Chair of Fashion and Textile Design at the Faculty of Architecture, Design, and Urbanism of the Universidad de Buenos Aires. In 2014, she received the Grand Painting Prize at the National Salon and the First Drawing Prize at the same event. Her work brings together art and design through ornament as language, employing techniques such as screen printing on fabric, enameling on tableware, and manual interventions on and around artistic, decorative, utilitarian, textile, and clothing pieces. She is the author of various murals located in public spaces, such as the Echeverría subway station on Line B of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and “Vicente Querido” Square in Vicente López, Buenos Aires Province.
