Alberto Méndez (1966) lives and works in Buenos Aires. He graduated in Law from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He attended courses and seminars with Luis Felipe Noé, Eduardo Stupía, Juan Carlos Romero, Valeria González, and Hernán Marina. He has been selected for national and municipal drawing and painting awards and salons in Argentina from 2004 to the present, as well as in the Bienal Nacional de Dibujo in San Juan in 2019 and 2021. His work is part of the collections of National Museums such as the Franklin Rawson Museum in San Juan, the Raúl Lozza Museum, the Municipal Museum of Santa Fe, the Centro Cultural Borges, and private collections in Argentina and abroad.
Méndez has held solo exhibitions from 2003 to the present at the Centro Cultural Recoleta, the Centro Cultural Borges, the Municipal Museum of Santa Fe, the Franklin Rawson Museum in San Juan, the Yrurtia Museum, the Raúl Lozza Museum, the Van Riel Gallery, among others. He has participated in group exhibitions from 2005 to the present at the cceba in Buenos Aires and Rosario, Santa Fe, Centro Cultural Recoleta, cck, La Casa del Bicentenario, La Barraca Vorticista, among others, as well as in art fairs and galleries.
