Abstract
Theatrical development has undergone significant transformations that have redefined stage perception. Notably, the case of Madame Vestris, an English actress and theatre manager, stands out for her contribution to the stage through the introduction of the box set. This study conducts a systematic review of the existing literature to analyze the impact of this innovation through contemporary journalistic criticism. The results reveal substantial modifications in critical appraisal and audience reception. Furthermore, a connection is identified between this stage arrangement and movements such as French Realism and Italian Verismo. Finally, the review confirms the validity of the applied analysis, establishing it as a rigorous method for studying the evolution of theatre.
