Abstract
We propose to examine the relationship between Bergson's and Deleuze's philosophy in the context of cinematographic experience, the image-perception and the image-movement. For this purpose, we will expose, under an epistemological approach, the bases of the Bergsonian critique of the cinematic theory of image and consciousness. In doing so, we will focus on Bergson's concern to achieve a real apprehension of durée. This concern, which as we will see is a methodological concern, will open the way to Deleuzian reflections on the cinematic image and, especially, to Deleuze's reception of Bergson. Finally, we will show the way in which Deleuze problematizes the crossing between image, time and movement from the affective and intentional pole that runs through every visual experience.
