Abstract

One of the main concerns of Bernardo Canal Feijóo (1897-1982) was to configure a conception of culture based on the relationship between the man and his place as a way of define and identify an identity that reconciles national unity and regional particularity. This article analyzes the concept of culture based on two unpublished documents that are part of the Bernardo Canal Feijóo Archive. From his study emerges a notion of culture that, aesthetically and symbolically transfigured, reveals the way of being of a collective subject constituted as a people.
